96 cases of croup were clinically observed for 8 years from 1960 to 1967. The summary of the clinical
and labaratory findings are as follows:
Analysis of the yearly prevalence revealed 62% of cases in 1967, which seems sufficient to reflect
clear epidemic pattern. A preponderance of cases (83 cases, 86%) occurred between December and
March. Most frequent month was February (25 cases, 26%).... |

A case of staphylococcal constrictive pericarditis in a 10 month old male infant is reported here
with a brief review of literature.
To our knowledge, there have been no reported cases of constrictive pericarditis as a sequela of
purulent pericarditis in infancy less than 1 year of age.
This case recovered by medical treatment only, requiring no pericardiectomy. |

Dermatitis exfoliativa neonatorum was reported for the first time by Ritter von Rittershain, and
it has been known as Ritter's disease.
A case of Ritter’s disease in 14 day-old male infant was presented.
Seven days before admission an area of erythema with serous discharge was noted at right buttock
which was spreaded over the trunk, extremities, neck and face with formation of blisters.
